River Metals Recycling Newport First Kentucky Recycling Facility to Achieve SHARP Status

On December 17, 2013, River Metals Recycling’s Newport recycling facility received the prestigious SHARP (Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program) designation from the Kentucky Secretary of Labor.  RMR Newport is the first recycling facility in Kentucky to earn SHARP status. River Metals Recycling (RMR) is the largest scrap recycler in Kentucky and in the greater Cincinnati area, with 9 locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. The Newport Kentucky facility was recognized for its commitment to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.  SHARP is one of the highest honors OSHA awards to small worksites that demonstrate an exemplary commitment to workplace safety and health.
