The David J. Joseph Company (DJJ) is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2013 Craig A. Feldman will become President of DJJ with direct responsibility for all businesses and activities across the Joseph Family of Companies.  Mark D. Schaefer will succeed Mr. Feldman as Executive Vice President of the Recycling Group.
Mr. Feldman joined DJJ in 1986 and has served in a variety of roles including District Manager in the ferrous trading business, President of Western Metals Recycling, Operations Staff Member for SHV (DJJ’s Netherlands-based parent company until 2008) and currently serves as Executive Vice President of DJJ’s Recycling Group. In addition to his new responsibilities for The Joseph Family of Companies, Mr. Feldman will continue to serve as a Vice President & General Manager of Nucor.
Mr. Schaefer joined  DJJ in 1985 and has also served in a variety of roles including District Manager in the ferrous trading business, Vice President of Logistic Services, and President of U-Pull-&-Pay, DJJ’s  self-serve auto parts business.  In addition to his new DJJ responsibilities, Mr. Schaefer will become a Nucor General Manager.
Keith B. Grass, current President and CEO, will continue as CEO of DJJ as part of his responsibilities as Executive Vice President of Nucor.  Mr. Grass stated, “These promotions are part of a planned management transition. I am confident that both Craig Feldman and Mark Schaefer are well prepared and well positioned to take on these new responsibilities. I look forward to working with the team as they look for ways to continue to grow and build the DJJ organization.”
