Trademark Getting New Scrap Shredders

Texas Shredder Inc. has started work on two shredder projects for Trademark Metals Recycling LLC, Tampa, Fla.

At the Everglades facility in Opa Locka, near Miami, work has begun on the installation of a new high-capacity eddy-current plant and a downstream cleaning system. The system will be able to process the output of a 7,000-horsepower Texas Shredder to be installed in spring 2002.

And a mega-shredder manufactured by Texas Shredder will be installed at Trademark's facility at the Port of Tampa. The 122/108 model is scheduled for completion in January 2002.

Both facilities currently are equipped with 98-inch, 4,000-horsepower shredders.

Trademark Metals Recycling is a partnership between Thomas B. Baker Jr., president, and David J. Joseph Co., Cincinnati. Four shredders are installed at Trademark's 11 plants in central and south Florida.

Little did Joseph Joseph know that the small scrap business he began in 1885 would grow into a leading scrap broker and processor 125 years later! DJJ continues to build our reputation on the same cornerstones as our founder: integrity, reliability, innovation and quality.
